Christian O’Brien is a certified special education teacher. He has a M.Ed. in school psychology and a post- graduate certificate in educational administration. He is currently working through a doctoral program in the field of special education. His studies focus on the technologies that support teaching and learning among students with disabilities. He is particularly interested in facilitating cross- disciplinary communication in the fields of educational technology, assistive technology, and universal design for learning. As part of those efforts, he has worked on research projects that focus on online learning. His prior experiences with educational and assistive technology have occurred in the public, nonpublic, and nonprofit settings.
